Rosas moreno 68 // Antes el tiempo no rechinaba

ROSAS MORENO 68 is a compilation project of different explorations that took place between 2021 and 2022 in an ex-jewelry factory located in San Rafael neighborhood in downtown Mexico City. During this period various artists were invited to inhabit the space and create interventions with the premise of the relation and interaction of sound, space and time. 

This series of collaborations derived in two pieces: an eponymous album consisting of a selection of 10 musical improvisations, and a video-performance titled “antes el tiempo no rechinaba” (time didn't used to squeak). Both pieces were developed in a cuasi-documentalist manner, adhering to a more “field recording” style. Registering events as they were while they developed freely in a given period of time, constructing in this way a sound aesthetic born from free improvisation, free jazz and experimental music.
